WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will report to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and will build and maintain relationships with teams across MFAM, the Mastercard Foundation, external investment managers, consultants and service providers. As a member of the team, you will have opportunities to grow and develop and create meaningful value and lasting impact through the Mastercard Foundation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This is a unique opportunity to be involved in starting up a world-class organization that will have global impact. This role is the primary administrative partner to the CIO and provides targeted support to the senior leadership team. You will be a strategic enabler for leadership, a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, and a go-to person for operational coordination. This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, professional, and mission-driven environment, bringing structure, calm, and proactive foresight to complex schedules and needs.
Accountabilities include:
CIO Support
- Serve as the primary executive assistant to the CIO, acting as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and ensuring the CIO is fully supported in all day-to-day activities.
- Manage complex calendars, including scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings and proactively monitoring for changes.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, such as flight bookings, hotel accommodation, ground transportation, passport renewals, and visa processing.
- Monitor and adjust travel plans in response to delays, cancellations, or changes in schedule.
- Prepare, track, and reconcile expense reports in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of investment activities and meeting outcomes in Outlook, DealCloud, and other tracking systems.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for board meetings.
- Coordinate internal and investment committee meetings, and engagements with the Mastercard Foundation by scheduling, preparing agendas and materials, recording action items, and managing follow-ups.
Additional Responsibilities in our Start-up Environment:
- Additional Leadership Support – Offer administrative and operational support to other members of the senior leadership team as needed.
- Events & Coordination – support planning and coordination of team meetings, social events, offsite gatherings, and office relocation projects.
- Office Operations – Maintain administrative records in SharePoint and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, policies, and onboarding materials.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 7+ years supporting C-suite executives, ideally within asset management, private equity, or financial services.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience with expense management tools and electronic signature platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with systems including DealCloud is an asset.
- Demonstrated event and travel coordination experience across multiple geographies.
- Unquestionable ethical standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and problem-solving capability.
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail oriented.
- Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and comfortable juggling competing priorities.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and able to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to travel as needed.
