WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will report to the Senior Manager, Operational Due Diligence (ODD) and will build and maintain relationships with teams across MFAM, the Mastercard Foundation, external consultants and vendors. As a member of the team, you will have opportunities to grow and develop, and create meaningful value and lasting impact through the Mastercard Foundation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This is a unique opportunity to be involved in starting up a world-class organization that will have global impact. Through structuring data, maintaining key ODD outputs, and using AI tools to streamline analysis and documentation, you will play a central role in helping the team assess risks and scale the ODD function.
Key accountabilities include:
- Prepare and structure ODD materials for new deal – Gather, organize, and extract key information from fund materials (e.g. due diligence questionnaires) and consultant reports and populate standard ODD templates and draft outputs
- Build and maintain fund manager operating profiles – Update structured manager profiles (pre- and post-onsite), capturing key facts on strategy, structure, governance, operations, and service providers
- Support implementation of the ODD monitoring framework including financial statement reviews – Maintain the monitoring tracker, populate watch items and triggers, and support structured review of financial statements and other monitoring inputs to identify changes or issues for escalation
- Support AI-enabled workflows and data structuring
Use AI tools to structure notes, extract and maintain key information, and draft initial outputs, while helping standardize templates and data capture across deals
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Second or third year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- Basic understanding of business, finance, or accounting concepts
- Interest in investments, asset management and related operational processes
- Comfortable using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AI tools such as ChatGPT and open to learning and leveraging AI tools in greater depth
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information clearly and consistently
- Professional and reliable, with the ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly
- Able to manage multiple tasks and follow through on assignments independently
- Strong written communication skills (clear, simple, well-structured)
- Curious and willing to ask questions when something is unclear
- Enthusiasm for being a key player in a start-up environment, embracing hands-on execution, contributing beyond assigned responsibilities, and adapting to evolving roles and expectations.

MFAM provides a hiring range that reflects the expected compensation for this role. Final offers are determined based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
